Strawberry Views

A Fresh Perspective on Biblical Studies

"Unique - Challenging - Controversial"
From Strawberry Mountain

Strawberry Views is a non-denominational para-church ministry seeking to equip the people of God in growth as disciples of Jesus Christ. The reason for the name Strawberry Views is that as founder of this ministry I happen to live in the small mountain community of Strawberry, Arizona. This community was originally settled in the eighteen hundreds by Mormon settlers. Its claim to fame is that it has the oldest standing school house remaining in the state. However, it is not the purpose of this web site to tell you about this small community or its history.

Olive Tree Ministries

Olive Tree Ministries is the parent of Strawberry Views. The name Olive Tree Ministries was originally chosen because of the symbolism of the olive tree in Scripture. The olive tree represents Israel and believers, both Jews and Gentiles, who are grafted into the olive tree. See – Romans chapter 11. This ministry also places an emphasis on discovering our Christian roots in Judaism without become Judaized and/or legalistic. We proclaim the message of Grace, not law!

Strawberry Views is the literature part of the ministry of which I do most of the writing. It is called Strawberry Views not only from the fact that it is based in Strawberry but from my office window as I sit at my computer I look out at Strawberry Mountain, hence Strawberry Views.

What is this ministry about?

Although I’m not particularly fond of labels this ministry may be viewed as a Biblical Christian outreach seeking to adhere to the tenets of the historic Biblical faith. The Bible is accepted as the uniquely inspired written Word of God, hence it is our authority in matters relating to faith and practice. On this web site you will discover material dealing with many varied Biblical subjects and how the Bible and Biblical Christian faith relates to them.

Our Motto:
Rather than buying into the traditional party line held by Mainline and/or Evangelical Christians, this ministry is: “Unique – Challenging – Controversial!” The written material as well as the workshops that we sponsor do not always coincide with the positions held by many other Christians.

Are we Messianic?
You will note the symbol that appears on our home page is that of a cross emanating from a Star of David. The natural question of some may be whether or not we are Messianic. The answer to this is “yes” and “no.” Yes, in that all authentic followers of Jesus Christ are Messianic for He is the Messiah of both Jews and Gentiles. The answer is “no” to the above question in that we are not a Messianic Jewish site or ministry.

We do believe and emphasize that the Church of our Lord needs to recover its Hebraic roots which have been largely lost through the centuries.

YOU ARE INVITED to frequently visit this site as we plan on updating it regularly. You may contact us to receive booklets that we have in print. If you are part of a church or house group, we are open to coming to your group to hold either a workshop and/or to preach.
