The prophets in the Hebrew Scriptures were continually calling the Israelites back into fellowship and walk with God. The children of Israel frequently erred and went off into whoring after the gods and goddesses of the nations around them. God raised up prophet after prophet to warn of impending judgment for disobedience, yet the Israelites were slow to learn and even slower to take affirmative action by repenting of sin and turning back to the One who called them out from the peoples of the world to be His uniquely chosen people.
John the Baptizer was the last of the prophets of old. He, too, called the Jews to turn back to God by repenting of their sin. John sought to prepare the nation of Israel for the Messiah whom the prophets had foretold would come and who was about to appear at that time. As the forerunner of Messiah John recognized the young Jewish rabbi who came to the banks of the Jordan to be baptized by him. This young rabbi, although not a sinner himself, identified with John and John’s message. God revealed to John that this young Israelite, who was John’s cousin, was that Messiah, i.e., the Christ, that the prophets of old had said would come to Israel. This young Israelite who came to John to be baptized was the one we know as Yeshua or Jesus of Nazareth.

Prophecy continues to play an important role in the ministry of the church to day. Unfortunately Christendom is filled with many phony, false, money-grabbing, power-hungry men and women claiming to be modern day prophets. The Charismatic Movement is filled to overflowing with many of these would-be self-styled prophets. Many of these individuals claim to be hearing directly from God in the words and messages they proclaim. Beware! God does indeed speak and minister through believers today. We do not deny that there is prophetic ministry in our day. However much of what is said to be prophetic is not of or from God. Every individual claiming to be hearing and speaking the prophetic must be tested according to our Lord who exhorted, “by their fruit you will know them.” We must not be afraid to test every word and message spoken to be sure that it is on target.

God most often speaks to believers and to the church through the written Word of God, the Bible. God’s Spirit also impresses upon the hearts of believers words and messages that need to be shared with others. Whether one is designated a prophet or not is secondary. What is vital is that only truth and that which is in full accord with the Holy Scriptures is being shared at all times.

The material that you will find in this section deals mostly with prophetic events that God’s inspired written Word reveals. We are of the opinion and belief that what is happening on the world scene in our day is preparing the Body of Christ for the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Though we realize that there are differences in the church regarding some of these events this ministry takes a pre-millennial position. We believe in a literal rapture and we look forward to the coming Kingdom when our Lord shall sit upon the throne of David and literally reign over this planet. We do not claim to have all of the answers, but we are not afraid to boldly declare that Jesus is Coming Again!

The material that you will find herein will hopefully shed light upon what the Scripture is teaching regarding events that are taking place in these latter days. New material will be periodically added so be sure to come back and visit us regularly.
